Symptoms

On : 12.2.5 version, Administration

When attempting to open an email in EMC,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

The following error occurred:
javax.mail.MessagingException: ; nested exception is: com.sun.mail.util.DecodingException: BASE64Decoder: Error in encoded stream: hit EOF while looking for padding characters (=), the 10 most recent characters were: ".    No further information.

Contact your system administrator if the error persists.
Administrators may view page source for more technical information about this error.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open Email in MS-Outlook. A pop-up appears, which asks, if I want to load the external content.
  a. Say "Yes" and forward email to Email Center: Email can't be opened and raises the error.
  b. Say "No" and forward email to Email Center: Email can be opened properly.
