Applies to:

Oracle HRMS (Australia) - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Australian Payroll

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Printed Payment summary shows reportable FBT amount rounded up

The printed Payment summary shows reportable FBT amount rounded up as opposed to the payment summary data file that shows it rounded down. This discrepancy besides being incorrect is also misleading and causes reconciliation issues. Both these report outputs being statutory, one issued to the employee while the other is sent to the ATO needs to be consistent.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
FBT amount (rounded ) should be consistent in reports

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run the Payment Summary Archive
The employee is processed and the FBT for the year is $22646.69
2. Run - Produce Self Printed Payment Summary XML-PDF (Australia)
The PAYG is attached below. Note that reportable FBT amount is $22,647.00 (It is rounded up)
3. Now run Payment Summary Data

The output of “Payroll File Reporter” spawned by the above request is attached.
Note that reportable FBT amount is shown as $22,646.00 (It is rounded down)

This discrepancy besides being incorrect is also misleading and causes reconciliation issues. Both these report outputs being statutory one issued to the employee while the other is sent to the ATO, these needs to be consistent. In this case we feel the value reported in the PAYG is incorrect and it should be shown as $22,646.00 (rounded down)
