Is There A Way To Display Static Message text On EBS Login Page In DMZ Environment

Symptoms

E-Business Suite R12 Applications Framework, OA Framework Login Page issues

The business requirement to display custom static message text on the R12 login page (MainLoginPG) is discussed in the following document:

<Note 741459.1> - Tips For Personalizing The E-Business Suite R12 Login Page (MainLoginPG) (Doc ID 741459.1)

The initial implementation described uses an HTML/JSP page residing in $OA_HTML directory top.

The OAF personalizations on the login page is completed using a new item of type "Url Include", and adding the source of the item is a HTML/JSP page to $OA_HTML directory.

Item Style: Url Include
Scope: .
Source URI: xxauTest.html

This works properly on the internal server, and the HTML page shows on the login page.

But for the Portal server in a DMZ, the personalizations are not working and the page does not display.

In order to enable access to the custom page on the DMZ server, an entry should be added in url_fw_conf file. After this page is accessible as a standalone call in browser.

The below entry is an example for url_fw_conf_1013.tmp file on the server
RewriteRule ^/OA_HTML/xxauTest\.html - [R,L]

Are there additional configuration steps required to enable usage of this personalization for pages running in DMZ?
