Symptoms

E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway, REST Service Generation issues

 

 

 

 

Users report any REST service generation attempt fails in 12.1.3 and no unusual errors are reported in the oafm logs. 

With SOA Logging enabled  the following error appears in the SOALOG.log file:

oracle.apps.fnd.soa.provider.util.ServerAccess.analyzeServerResponse : Input : false##FND_SOA_SERVICE_GENERATION_ERR##ServiceGenerationError: Error in Service GenerationServiceGenerationError: Error in generating function level JCA File null
oracle.apps.fnd.soa.provider.util.ServerAccess.analyzeServerResponse : ErrorCode from server : FND_SOA_SERVICE_GENERATION_ERR
oracle.apps.fnd.soa.provider.util.ServerAccess.analyzeServerResponse : Throwing Exception from server : ServiceGenerationError: Error in Service GenerationServiceGenerationError: Error in generating function level JCA File null

Checking directory $INST_TOP/soa/PLSQL/<class_id>/REST few files are generated for any given service and there will be no .jca files created. in the

Changes

 Issue occurs on initial ISG setup after latest ICS patch applied, or after setup is verified and autoconfig has recently been run.
