Symptoms

On : 12.2.6 version, Pick Release Process

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
There are cases where, when allocations created from the pick release process, the system is not allowing allocation of quantities involving decimals. Instead, the allocation quantity is being rounded down to the next whole number. Any remaining quantity is being backordered.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect quantities being allocated to occur successfully, even though the quantities contain decimal values.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Receive material from a specific item into 4 LPNs, each having a quantity of 2.5, for a total quantity of 10.
2. Create a sales order for the item in question for a quantity of 10.
3. Book the order.
4. Run Pick Release with Auto Allocate set to Yes.
5. Notice that, instead of allocating each LPN for a quantity of 2.5, the system only allocated a quantity of 2 for each LPN, fo a total quantity of 8.
6. The remaining quantity of 2 has been back ordered.

BUSINESS IMPACT

Due to this issue, proper quantities are not being allocated, leaving backordered quantities.
