Symptoms

 E-Business Suite R12 Workflow, Workflow Mailer Outbound Processing issues

 

 

 

Workflow mailer gets deactivated with error "java.net.SocketException: Too many open files".

Users report the Mailer is getting deactivated with error "java.net.SocketException: Too many open files" when the lsof count is more than 1024.

It appears there is a leak and the HTTP Connection is not being closed, and hence it is causing open files.

Changes

 Applied <Patch 22974534> to the instance with the issue.
