Need A Descriptive Flex Field (DFF) On The Asset Return Request Page In OLFM (Doc ID 2329783.1)

Last updated on JULY 14, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Lease and Finance Management - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.2.5 version, Lease Authoring

In OLFM, during the Asset Return process, the Asset's 'Return Status' can change from Repossessed, Returned, Available for Sale, etc. But once it changes from either 'Repossessed' / 'Returned' to 'Available for Sale', the user does not know what the original status was (Repossessed or Returned).

From a reporting perspective, the business team needs to see what assets were repossessed vs returned. But the seeded page does NOT provide for any option to capture this information. We do not want to use the 'Comments' section since this is free-form (user can enter any details) - and currently being used to capture other information.

Most of the OLFM Contracts page provide for 'Additional Information' or DFF's. We require a similar 'Additional Information' or DFF's to be enabled on the 'Asset Return Request Page' also.

Need a descriptive flex field (dff) on the asset return request page in olfm.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1.Use 'Lease Super User'.
2.Navigate to the 'Asset Management' > Return Request tab.
3.Select a Contract # in the 'Contract Number' LOV and click on 'Go'.
4.Click on the 'Asset Number'.
5.This opens up the 'Asset Return Request' page.
6.This page does not currently support a DFF (Additional Information') like the rest of the OLFM pages.
7.We need a DFF to be enabled on this page to capture additional information that is needed for the Asset Return process.
