Symptoms

When attempting to Activate a Service Contract after a vacation rule is created to auto-sign contracts, the approval workflow fails and an error notification is generated with the following errors:

Errors

Data Base Operation Failed
Contract Number: SIGN1
Contract Number Modifier:
Details: ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource in Package OKS_WF_K_PROCESS_PVT Procedure complete_activity
Database operation Sign Contract failed.
ORA-06519: active autonomous transaction detected and rolled back in Package OKC_CONTRACT_APPROVAL_PVT Procedure k_signed


The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1) Service Contracts (R)
2) Contract Administration(N) Administrator workbench
3) Create Vacation Rules
4) Create a Service Contract and submit for approval
5) Approval workflow fails and error notification is generated
