"Signon Password Failure Limit" Profile Is Not Working Correctly and Users Become Locked Out of E-business Suite (Doc ID 2332467.1)

Symptoms

When a user has one or more unsuccessful logins to E-Business Suite followed by a successful login, the password failure count is not being reset to zero when the successful login occurs.

 

Steps to Reproduce:

1.  Set the user's profile "Signon Password Failure Limit" to 3.

2.  The user logs attempts to login with two incorrect passwords.

3.  During the third attempt the correct password is used.

4.  User is able to login.

5.  The user then logs out.

6.  The user attempts to login again and using incorrect password on the first attempt.

7.  On the second attempt the correct password is used.

8.  User is locked out.
