Inconsistent supplier lot number size between forms
System accepts a supplier lot number up to 150 characters. But if a long supplier lot number is used, some forms give an error while querying:
- material transaction search & on-hand (material workbench) search: We expect these forms to correctly handle supplier lot number up to 150 characters.
1. On Receiving form > Supplier lot number accepts a long string. > MTL_LOT_NUMBERS.SUPPLIER_LOT_NUMBER is varchar2(150)
2. On View material transactions > Query by supplier lot number > See error FRM-40831 truncation occurred value too long for VENDOR_LOT_NUMBER
3. On Material Workbench > On-hand (material workbench) search > Query by Supplier lot > form accepts value > But error on search > FRM-40735 WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502
Due to this issue, users cannot query by supplier lot number . This is required for product recalls etc.
