R12 E-Business Suite Workflow Notification Transfer Delegation For Role (RBAC) Request Approval Not Showing The Transferred Approver Name as "Current Approver" (Doc ID 2334643.1)

Last updated on MAY 29, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle User Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

E-Business Suite R12 Workflow, Registration Workflows and Business Events issues

Users report problems submitting requests for access to a role via the following navigation:

Instance -> Navigate to Preferences -> Access Request -> Request Access (Say User A , requested for this Role).

After the request for access is submitted, a notification Message Type "UMXNTWF1 " gets generated for the role request.

The role request is then sent to User B for Approval.

User A who raised the request, will see User B's name in "Current Approver" name for the role request:

Role : xxxxxx
Confirmation Number xxxxxx
Current Approver "User B"
status Pending

Now, User B logs in and see the Notification from User A in worklist.

User B clicks on "Reassign" link for Notification and either Transfer/Delegate the Notification to User say C.

User C gets the Notification to take action. It is with user C now.

Now, User A still sees the name of User B in "current Approver".

In the tables the action History shows user C, the WF_COMMENTS table contains correct details of all the Transfer and assignments, and WF_NOTIFICATIONS table shows the correct user.

However the customer business requirement is for User A not to see the name of User B in "Current Approver" section, but instead to see User C with whom Notification is pending.
