Symptoms

On 12.1 HRMS RUP 10 version of Application, In the Mass Update of Employee's Assignment.

When attempting to Update assignment details of an Employee using the Mass Update of Employee's Assignment form, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------

'APP-FND-00590: Program error: Please contact your support
representative.

The server PLSQL function FND_FLEX_EXT.GET_COMBINATION_ID()
has been called incorrectly. An incomplete segment array has
been passed into this function. Values must be assigned to
all elements even if they are null. Please
refer to the Flexfields Server-Side Validation documentation
for proper use of this function.'

STEPS
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login using "HRMS Manager" Responsibility.

2. Navigate to People --> Mass Updates for Person --> Mass Update of Employee Assignments.

3. Query an Employee whose supervisor detail has to be changed.

4. When changed the same and tried to submit the same got the above error message.
