Last updated on FEBRUARY 25, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

AutoCopy option used for journals in Primary Ledger, creates a copy of the journal in Secondary Ledger too. Data Conversion level for Secondary Ledger: Subledger. In the end, this results in a duplication of journals in Secondary Ledger.

Expectation is to have journals created only in Primary Ledger since conversion option is Subledger for the Secondary Ledger and Manual sourced journals should not convert to Secondary Ledger, per setup in place.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. GL Responsibility > Enter > Journals
2. Query for a subledger journal in Primary Ledger
3. Hit AutoCopy button
4. Observe two journals are created, with the same document number: one is for Primary Ledger, one is for Secondary Ledger
