R12: Unable to use "Other" Type Of Resource For Profile OKS: Default Sales Person For Renewal

Symptoms

On : 12.2.6 version, Service contract Renewals

When attempting to use OTHER type of resource in OKS Default Sales Person for Renewal R12 (R12.2.6)

Where sysdate >= start_date_active
and (end_date_active is NULL or end_date_active>=sysdate)

R12 Query
Select DISTINCT v.resource_name||' ('||Salesrep_id||')' Name, Salesrep_id
into :visible_option_value, :profile_option_value
from JTF_RS_SALESREPS s,
  jtf_rs_resource_extns_vl v
Where s.resource_id = v.resource_id

The last line of this query prevents the resource from being anything other than an Employee.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create Service Contract
2. attmept add OTHER resource OKS: Default Sales Person for Renewal.
3. Other not an available option
