Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Project Planning and Control - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

During the submission of the Mass Update Progress for the current workplan
version, application allows on updating Task Status to another status. After
Progress is submitted, the new Task Status is correctly shown in the current
workplan version, but the new Task Status is also reflected in all of the
previous Published Versions. Published Versions should only show what the
Task Status is at the time of publishing.

Business Impact: Due to this issue, business is not able to keep track of
updates done in each versions. More importantly, if all the update will get
copied to previous versions then there will be no use of maintaining multiple
versions.

Steps taken:

Global Construction Manager -> Update Only -> Project:Delivery -> Search
Project -> Workplan -> Mass Update Progress(in drop down) and then update any
task status in published current workplan version.

Check the other workplan version for same project with below navigation,

Global Construction Manager -> Update Only -> Project:Delivery -> Search
Project -> Workplan -> Maintain Versions(in drop down) and then check for the
updates task previously in any other workplan version.
