(Doc ID 2341213.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Service Contracts - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

If there is a Service Contract, (Usage type = Actual by Quantity, Period: MONTH), and did not capture counter readings from three months, current month if you entered three months counter readings and then run the Main Billing Program, all three months counter readings got accumulated and showing as first month reading. so billing is happening to customer incorrectly.

Example:
Contract start date : 01- Sep-2017
Contract end date: 31-Aug-2019

01- Sept-2017 to 30-Sep-2017 Counter reading is 500
01-Oct-2017 to 31-Oct-2017 Counter Reading is 1200
01-Nov-2017 to 30-Nov-2017 counter reading is 400

Total reading: 2100

Captured the counter readings as mentioned above and then ran the Main Billing program.

Now go to Billing Schedule > History tab

See 2100 as the first month i.e.01-Sep-2017 to 30-Sep-2017 reading, and remaining months showing zero counters. which is wrong.

What could be the reason for showing accumulated amount against first month?
