UPK: General Exception Error Message While Publishing Content From UPK To Knowledge Center (Doc ID 2344601.1)

On : version, General issues with UPK Developer

When attempting to publish to Knowledge Center,
the following error occurs.

"A general exception occurred. The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 02:00:00. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout."

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. publish to Knowledge Center
2. See error

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot publish their content to Knowledge Center
