Business Intelligence Publisher 12c Administrator UI Upload Is Successful But 0 Byte File Is Saved To The Server For Custom A Font, And BI Publisher Reports Fail To Display Custom Font Barcodes In PDF Output (Doc ID 2348002.1)

Symptoms

Business Intelligence Publisher 12c, Enterprise Administration System Configuration related issues

 

 

 


Barcode font does not display after custom Fonts are mapped using the Font Mapping features.

The Font (In this case Barcode Font) should appear in the PDF output.

Further investigation shows when a custom font is uploaded from the Admin page UI, the UI shows the font is uploaded successfully but the font is not saved on the server.

The size of the file on the server is shown as 0 bytes.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create Custom Font Mapping using Steps as per document

2. Run report with output set as PDF where in RTF template font references the custom font.


The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot get Barcode Font in PDF output; HTML output works fine.

 Recently upgraded to BI Publisher 12c.
