Why there is a difference in Order by Period in Trial Balance 'Period' parameter in 11i and R12. (Doc ID 2350564.1)

Goal

In R12 'Tail Balance' program for 'Period' parameter, Order by Period = Ascending order  but in R11 Order by Period = Descending order.
Why is the Standard Report order by difference in R11 and R12?
