Symptoms
There are two components on a common bill of material having the same value for the following:
- Item Seq (e.g. 0)
- Operation Seq (e.g. 1)
- Component item (e.g. CNT0001)
However, the From dates are different/
For example, the first component record has a From date of "13-APR-2016 11:17:01".
The second component record has a From date of "13-APR-2016 11:22:31".
When trying to update any value, the following error is thrown:
APP-BOM-20273: Component item exists of this operation sequence and date range
Cause: You cannot overlap the effective date range of the identical component items for the same operation sequence.
Action: Change the effective date range or operation sequence of either component item.
