After upgrading E-Business Suite to the 184.108.40.206 database (from 220.127.116.11), after the upgrade users reported forms failed to launch due to error 'ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol'.
To resolve the ORA-28040 errors <Note 2125856.1> was followed as a temporary workaround.
Checking the log file (application.log) the following error messages appear:
