On Hold Seeded Task Status Has Planned Checkbox Checked Which Trigger Mandatory Fields (Doc ID 2354896.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 19, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Common Applications Calendar - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In 12.2.6, using seeded task status to update tasks cause task not to save as mandatory fields (Assignee , Assignee Type, Schedule Start and End dates) must be entered before saving. Not sure why when selecting task status 'On hold' triggers Assignee , Assignee Type, Schedule Start and End dates as mandatory.

What Works
=======
Works fine in 11i

What Changed
============
Upgrade from 11i to R12, in R12 task status acquired new flag(Planned) on Define Task status form where in 11i this flag does not exist. Also service profiles were acquired in R12 which are not available in 11i : Service: Disable manual scheduling of field service tasks and Service: Apply State Restrictions on Tasks

Steps To Reproduce
===========
1. set profiles
Service: Disable manual scheduling of field service tasks" to NULL or No
Service: Apply State Restrictions on Tasks = No

2.Responsibility : Service
  Navigate > Service Requests > Find Service Requests > query request# ???? > go to Tasks tab > create task# ????? using status = Open > save no issue..... switch task status from 'Open' to 'On hold' causes Assignee , Assignee Type, Schedule Start and End dates to display as mandatory
