Null Pointer Exception Error When Clicking on Edit Requisition Link In Requisition Approval Notification

Symptoms

When attempting to edit requisition, using the Edit Requisition link from the Approval notification the following error occurs:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open requisition approval notification
2. Click Edit Requisition Link
3. Error occurs.
