Entering A Date On A Service Contract Template = To Or > The Year 2050 Results In An Error.

Symptoms
When attempting to create a contract from a Template with an End Date in 2050, the following error occurs.
ERROR

Start date and end date are not in chronological order or have invalid values.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Try to create a contract from a template.
2. Enter the Start and End dates in 2050 (say a Start Date of "01-JAN-2050" and an End Date of "31-DEC-2050").
3. Tab to the Duration field and the Duration and Period auto-populate (i.e 1 and Year).
4. Click the "Create" button.
5. Get the error.
BUSINESS IMPACT

Due to this issue must remember to NOT click or tab out of the End Date field before clicking the Create button.
