Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When trying to update the Organization Hierarchy via Oracle API apps.hr_hierarchy_element_api.update_hierarchy_element, it fails with following error:

ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows.

 

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Call the API: hr_hierarchy_element_api.update_hierarchy_element
