Symptoms

Actual Behavior
Default Item Author role for Item is not assigned to the user who created the item.

In R12.2.5, when a user creates an item in PIM, he is no having update rights for that item in the master organization.
This is because under People tab of Items Overview page, there is no record for the Item Author role assigned to that user by default, when a new item is created.

This is not the cause in 11i.
Once item is created, there is an Item Author role assigned to the user who created the item, by the system, and hence he is able to update the item information.

Expected Behavior
Default Item Author role for Item is assigned to the user who created the item correctly.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. 11i instance: Created a test item and under people tab in Item Overview page, Item Author role is defaulted for User:AAA BBBB who created the item.

Changes

Facing this issue after upgrade from 11i to R12.2.5.
