How to Change Costing for an Assignment After Transfer to GL

Example Period: Jan-2018
Employee transferred from Payroll A to Payroll B.
An assignment update to this effect was done. However, instead of updating the payroll from 01-Jan-2018, by mistake the update was done with effective date as 02-Jan-2018.
Payroll Run and post payroll process leading upto Transfer to GL were done. Payroll processing for the subsequent period (Feb-2018) was also done but the entries of Jan-2018 were still not posted in GL.
Because of the difference in costing setup of the elements with respect to both the payrolls, the prorated run results are costed to different companies (Segment1). The following is the requirement without affecting the other payroll processes.
1. Change of payroll update date from 02-Jan-2018 to 01-Apr-2018 in Assignment form
2. Costing all the run results to the new payroll (effective as on 31-Jan-2018)
