Need Ability To Restrict Price Changes Automatically After A Order Is Booked(Calculate Price Flag). How to Accomplish? (Doc ID 2376117.1)

As per  business practice once the order is booked there should not be any changes on the price by system automatically as the price is already communicated to the customer. Except freight charges nothing should be added to the orders.
Experienced issues as there were many cases which were triggering frequent changes on price on the order automatically causing lot of issues with invoices going with wrong price and customer service impact.

 
As there is no way to achieve this requirement using setups or any other customization Oracle has earlier suggested to use custom trigger to enable the calculate price flag changes to Partial after the order is booked. Once this flag is set as Partial there wont be any automatic changes applied to the order line for price changes.
If the user wants to add any freight charge during delivery shipments, oracle allows to update the line with freight charges with this flag(Partial Price).

Is there is any alternate solution than custom trigger available based on 12.2.6 version to achieve this?
