E-Business Suite Applications Technology Stack WLS Patch Rollback Fails With Error 'Removing Patch ID: YIJF. Result: Failure' And 'binding_1.10.0.0.jar (No such file or directory)' (Doc ID 2377062.1)

Administrators report WLS patch rollback / removal is fails as the system is pointing to an incorrect or non-existent location.

The WLS patch rollback operation fails with the below error:

$ -remove -patchlist=YIJF -prod_dir=$FMW_HOME/wlserver_10.3 -log=/tmp/YIJF_remove.log
Checking for conflicts......
No conflict(s) detected

Removing Patch ID: YIJF.
Result: Failure /<DIR>/com.bea.core.datasource6.binding_1.10.0.0.jar (No such file or directory)
Result: Failure /<DIR>/com.bea.core.datasource6.binding_1.10.0.0.jar (No such file or directory)
$ /<DIR>/com.bea.core.datasource6.binding_1.10.0.0.jar (No such file or directory)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. WLS patch removal operation
2. Run command -remove -patchlist=YIJF -prod_dir=$FMW_HOME/wlserver_10.3 -log=/tmp/YIJF_remove.log
3. See error /<DIR>/com.bea.core.datasource6.binding_1.10.0.0.jar (No such file or directory)

Users cannot rollback WLS patches.


 Roll back a Weblogic patch.
