Unable to Select Search Conditions "Keyword" For Item Description Other Than "Exact" on Match Rules (Doc ID 2377136.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior
Unable to select Search Conditions "Keyword" for item description other than "Exact" on Match Rules when creating match rules.
Checked Implementation Guide and confirmed we it is possible to match the following attributes by keywords, using fuzzy, stemming, and synonym searches and all other attributes must match exactly.

  • Item
  • Item Description
  • Item Long Description
  • Item Catalog Category
  • Manufacturer
  • Manufacturer Part Number
  • Supplier
  • Supplier Part Number

However, when define a Match Rule with Indexed field like Item Number, Description, Item Status etc, Keyword search or Fuzzy/ Stemming search is not enabled.

Expected Behavior
Able to select Search Conditions "Keyword" for item description on Match Rules when creating match rules.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Setup Workbench
    (R)Development Manager
    (N)Setup > Setup Workbench
  2. Click Items tab and then click Match Rules sub tab
  3. Create a Match Rule and add "^Item:Primary:Description" as a criteria.
    ==>Unable to select Search Conditions "Keyword" for item description other than "Exact" on Match Rules
