XML Publisher Output Excel Using vlookup (Doc ID 2378009.1)

Symptoms

On 11.1.1.7.0 version, Designing Layout Templates
After creating an XML report as per Oracle Standards, it creates Output File in Excel, however vlookups is not working. It returns #N/A as result

Test performed
-----------------------
1- Opened / Create a Template vlookup_template.rtf
2- Add a field - e.g: "trx" field (Invoice Number column)
3- Add the following to the field in BIP Properties:

<fo:bidi-override direction="ltr" unicode-bidi="bidi-override"><?TRX_NUMBER?></fo:bidi-override>

4- Save Template.

5- In the BIP menu > Sample XML > choose <sample_data>.xml to have sample data loaded

6- Generate an Excel Report by clicking in the "Excel" icon in the BIP menu

7- In Excel now, perform a vlookup search
=VLOOKUP(17192368,A20:A33,1)

It shows #N/A as result

8- Now edit the field and removed the fo:bidi-override function:

Change to <?TRX_NUMBER?>

9- Save Template as vlookup_template_deletefunction.rtf

10- In the BIP menu > Sample XML > choose <sample_data>.xml to have sample data loaded

11- Generate an Excel Report by clicking in the "Excel" icon in the BIP menu

12- In Excel now, perform the same steps to use vlookup
=VLOOKUP(17192368,A20:A33,1)

It still shows #N/A as result
