12.2 E-Business Suite Applications Framework Homepage Has User Region Personalization Links Missing For Self Service Pages

Symptoms

E-Business Suite 12.2 Applications Framework, OA Framework related issues

 

 

 

 
Personalization region links (#2 below) are missing on 12.2 E-Business Suite users homepage.

There are two types of personalization links available in the 12.2 homepage:

1. The Global Personalization Links:
    These are at the top right side of the page. In 12.1.3 it was a link you can see directly on the page, in 12.2.6 you need to click on settings and then see the personalize page link.

2. The User Region Personalization region links:
    These appear at the top of every user region on the page.


The associated profiles include for this functionality include the following:

Disable Self-Service Personal
Personalization Region Link Enabled
Personalize Self-Service Definition
Enable Personalization Workbench (introduced in 12.2.6)


This creates a problem for the business as users need the option to personalize the homepage.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login as user to application go to home page.
2. Confirm the links are not displayed
