UPK: Importing Content from 11.1. to 12.1. Displays Not Responding Message

Issue Statement
While importing the complete 11.1 content library, into 12.1.x the Import fails with "Not Responding"

2012 R2

Replication Steps
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Open UPK 12.1.x
2. Click on Tools - Import - Documents
3. Browse to the 11.1.x ODARC
4. Click Import
5. Import process runs and shows "Not Responding" message
