Problem Statement
Error "Negative balances not allowed" Occurs When Performing Sub Inventory Transfer against LPN Because WLC.PRIMARY_QUANTITY Is Greater Than MOQD.PRIMARY_TRANSACTION_QUANTITY

Error
Negative balances not allowed

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Item: SY Item Decimal Qty Test
    Primary UOM: Each

  2. UOM Conversion:
    1 SME = 10.76391 SF
    1 Ea = 1000 SF

  3. Create PO

  4. Receive PO into a LPN
    Received Qty: 4592 SME
    As per UOM Conversion:
    4592 SME = 49427.87472 SF = 49.42787472 Ea

  5. Putaway the LPN to Inventory
    Inventory transactions and on hand balance support decimal precision to 5 digits after the decimal point.
    So,
    MTL_ONHAND_QUANTITIES_DETAIL.PRIMARY_TRANSACTION_QUANTITY = 49.42787
    (4592 SME = 4592 * 10.76391 / 1000 Ea = 49.42787472 -> 49.42787 Ea)
    This is correct per current product design.

    But,
    WMS_LPN_CONTENTS.PRIMARY_QUANTITY = 49.42788
    INV Debug log is showing the quantity was got through below process:
    49.42787472 -> 49.427875 -> 49.42788

    As a result, when performing Subinventory Transfer against the LPN,
    Negative balances not allowed error occurs because 49.42788 > 49.42787

  6. Perform Subinventory Transfer against the LPN.

  7. Error "Negative balances not allowed" occurs.

    The same issue doesn't occur if the LPN was received through Misc Receipt.
