Last updated on MAY 16, 2018

Applies to:

BI Publisher (formerly XML Publisher) - Version 12c and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : BI Publisher12c version, Enterprise : Administration

Not able to start BI Publisher.

As a part of Siebel - BIP Integration, have deployed the Siebel .jar file as library in Weblogic console.

And then added this library reference in weblogicapplication.xml file of xmlpserver.ear file.

After that followed the below steps to get it effected.

-> Stop all the servers through \Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\bi\bitools\bin\stop.cmd
-> Take backup of existing modified .ear \Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\bi\bifoundation\jee \xmlpserver.ear
-> Replace with Original .ear file to \Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\bi\bifoundation\jee directory
-> Delete WL cache. Delete all the content inside
  C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\bi\servers\bi_server1\tmp\_WL_user\bipublisher_11.1.1\jzpv15
-> Delete all the content inside
  C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\bi\servers\bi_server1\tmp\_WL_user\bipublisher_11.1.1
  \to5gma
-> Start all the servers through C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\bi\bitools\bin\start.cmd

After starting this, bi_server is not coming up, it was under 'ADMIN' status, never coming up to 'Running'
