Make Failure Date Mandatory If The Failure Entry Required Is Set To Yes At The Time Of WO Creation (Doc ID 2392278.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Failure Date is Mandatory if the Failure Entry Required is set to Yes at the time of WO Completion. Since Failure Date is an important attribute in determining the Asset Maintainability and Reliability Metrics (such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR) and Failure Frequency) and the fact that this information is known at the time of WO Creation, the Client would like to make this field mandatory at the time of WO Creation. This would ensure from system enforces the Planner/Supervisor to enter the Failure Date and is not left to the Maintenance User (Craftsman) to enter the details at the time of WO Completion who may fat finger the Failure Date.
