STIG V-61685 Compliance: Disable External Procedure (EXTPROC) Services

In order to comply with STIG V-61685 we are required to either harden or disable external procedure services. We have implemented Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and would like to know if external procedure services can be disabled. According to the “Secure Configuration Guide for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1” referenced by Oracle Doc ID 403537.1, my understanding is that external procedure services may be disabled if none of the following Oracle components are in use: 1. Oracle InterMedia cartridges 2. Oracle Email Center. 3. Oracle Demand Planning Express implementation.

Can we disable external procedure services (extproc) in our EBS installation without breaking any functionality currently in use?
Are there any tests we can perform to confirm that we are not implementing any functionality dependent on external procedure services (extproc)?
