Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Legal Entity Configurator - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Unable to convert a legal address to a local address.

1.Create new location TEST_ADDRESS with legal_address_flag=’N’.
2.Create new legal entity and register the legal entity with TEST_ADDRESS.
3.Legal_address_flag of location TEST_ADDRESS was updated to ‘Y’.
4.Then change the legal entity address to other address (TEST_ADDRESS_LEGAL).

Why legal_address_flag of TEST_ADDRESS was not updated to ‘N’? TEST_ADDRESS location no longer attached to any legal entity.

Is it an intended functionality?

As per the following note, The interface should be able to convert a regular address into a legal address or visa versa.
<Note 552745.1> R12: Unable to Update Location Address for Locations Created in Accounting Setup Manager via General Ledger(GL)
