Waybill Information For Drop-shipments

Information in this document applies to any platform.
We usually populate the waybill on our delivery for regular shipments.
This waybill then auto-populates on the invoice thus reaching customer.
For drop shipment however, we are not able to enter this info since there is no delivery record.
How can be provide waybill/ tracking number to customer since this is very critical.
We attempted entering the waybill/airbill field on the PO receipt for the dropship PO but that does not get pulled on the invoice.
