On : 12.2 version, Customers Module

Email Address more than 320 characters in Email field of "account site email" for a Customer is truncated upon save.

HZ_CONTACT_POINTS.email_address defined as VARCHAR2(2000) is E-mail address of the contact point.

If more than 320 characters is entered for an email address it should be saved or the user needs to be warned so they do not loose data

In Bug 3449448 - ORIG_SYSTEM HZ_PARTY HAS IMPROPERLY DEFINED EMAIL ADDRESS, Development said that the truncation at 320 characters is intentional.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Create an email address for a customer or customer site with more than 320 characters, check the saved data - it has been truncated at 320 characters without warning.

Due to this issue, Email addresses greater than 320 characters are truncated without error or warning.
