Scrapping a Lease Asset Error - You Cannot Date your Transaction in a Future Period (Doc ID 2409289.1)

On : 12.1.3 version, Asset Management

While scrapping an asset, the following error is encountered:

You cannot date your transaction in a future period.
User-Defined Exception
Error: function FA_RETIREMENT_PUB.do_validation returned failure
Error: function FA_RETIREMENT_PUB.do_retirement returned failure
Error retiring asset <Asset Number> in corporate book <Corporate Book Name>. Retirement transaction was not performed for this asset in Fixed Assets.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Current FA open period (past period)
2. Current period (sysdate)
3. Navigate to Asset Management -> Return Requests
4. Query the asset -> Update asset information -> Change status to Scapped -> Click on Apply. Error will be encountered.
