SSO Link Emailed By BI Publisher Scheduler (Doc ID 2410130.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019

Applies to:

BI Publisher (formerly XML Publisher) - Version 11.1.1.9.0 to 11.1.1.9.x [Release 11.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Is there a way to configure the BIP product to provide the hostname of the SSO URL in these links so the users can log on to the system normally instead the BIP xmlpserver URL?

The environment uses a Single Sign On solution. Users access the environment through this SSO URL and their credentials are passed to Oracle via the header. The links listed in the report job history and email notifications explicitly point to the BIP server hostname rather than the SSO URL. This causes the user to be prompted to provide a username and password, which they do not have.
