Inventory Transaction Open Interface Table (Mtl_transactions_interface) Does Not Process Vendor_lot_number (Doc ID 2416762.1)

MTI: Inventory Transaction Open Interface Table (Mtl_transactions_interface)
Column / Field: Vendor_lot_number

Goal

Using Oracle Inventory Open Interface for transaction type "Issue Components to WIP" ID: 35 populate field vendor_lot_number with a reference to the supplier lot number. However, when the transaction processes it is not interfaced to the base table mtl_material_transactions / field: VENDOR_LOT_NUMBER.

According to the Oracle Inventory Open Interfaces and APIs field VENDOR_LOT_NUMBER purpose is "Use this column as transaction reference information and/or to cross-reference supplier lot numbers against internal lot numbers". Based on that there does not appear to be any additional requirements.

Why is the reference not interfaced?
