Symptoms

On : 12.1.2 version, Work Execution

When attempting to click on work request number hyperlink, the following error occurs.
The issue started after applying RUP Patch.

oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException.wrapperException(OAException.java:912)
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAWebBeanHelper.processRequest(OAWebBeanHelper.java:636)
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAWebBeanContainerHelper.processRequest(OAWebBeanContainerHelper.java:252)
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.layout.OAFlowLayoutBean.processRequest(OAFlowLayoutBean.java:353)
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAWebBeanHelper.processRequestChildren(OAWebBeanHelper.java:992)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Responsibility: Maintenance Super User.
2. Click on Work Requests tab.
3. View = Approved Work Orders.
4. Click on work request # and receive the aforementioned error.
