GLPARV: Is It the Intended Functionality for Program - Automatic Reversal to Keep Reversing an Accrual Entry? (Doc ID 2421958.1)

Last updated on JULY 17, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
GLPARV

Goal

Scenario for a particular manual JV:

1) A manual accrual journal was entered in MAR-18.
2) Automatic Reversal program was executed and the journal was reversed in APR-18.
3) Manually delete the reversal JV which was created in APR-18 to avoid further reversals.
4) However, when the Program - Automatic Reversal is being run to reverse other accruals journals this journal (where its reversal was deleted) is being reversed again by the program.

Is this expected behavior?

Note 740220.1 - GLPARV: Auto Reversal Program is Not Reversing the Journals states:  'Once the Program - Automatic Reversal reverses the original journal it is flagged as reversed and cannot be reversed again even though the reversed journal is deleted'. So why once the reversal is deleted, does the auto reversal program reverse it again?
