When Updating A Task In Mobile Field Service The Update is Not Reflected On The Server After Syncing (Doc ID 2424005.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 14, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Mobile Field Service - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When performing an update on some tasks in Mobile Field Service(MFS)  the update is not seen on the server after syncing.
The problem occurs with some tasks and not all of them.
Also  the problem does not happen for all updates.   For example:  If you update the task description or descriptive flexfield(DFF) then the change is seen on the server,  but if you update the task status,  this is not pushed to the server.

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Login to MFS.
2. Query a task.
3. Perform an update  e.g. Change the Task status to 'Closed'.
4. Save.
5. Sync.
6. Run the Processes uploaded mobile data program.
7. When the task is queried again you find that the task status is reverted back to the previous status.
