E-Business Suite 12.2 Web Applications Desktop Integrator, WEB ADI related issue

Users report the following error in WebADI while trying to change the Accounting Calendar date in an excel template:

"Script error: Object doesn't support property or method 'createEvent'"


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to EBS application
2. Select GL responsibility
3. Create document for integrator "General Ledger Journals"
4. Open the layout.
5. Fill all the required details
6. Try to modify the accounting date
7. Below error is displayed on the screen.
Script error:

Object does not support property or method 'createEvent'


The issue has the following business impact:
