ORA-01722: Invalid Number When Trying To Create Email Center Custom Queries For Use In Reply Templates (Doc ID 2441360.1)

Getting the following error when trying to create a very simple custom reply template for the use in Email Center reply templates according to "How To Create Email Center Custom Queries And Templates For Use When Replying To Emails (Doc ID 1446626.1)"

ERROR

ORA-01722: invalid number


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to Email Center Administrator responsibility
2. Navigate to Knowledge Base/Query/Create
3. Enter mandatory details
    Click Create
    See the message
        "Please enter values in the required SQL fields and click the "Validate SQL" button below to validate your query"
4. Enter a valid value for the bind variable and click "Validate SQL"
    Error appears
