INV_PREV_PD_NOT_OPEN_10G : Cannot open period. Previous cost period is not opened yet.
Symptoms
Users accidentally opened and closed a very old inventory accounting period from 10 years ago but now cannot open any new periods due to an error.
How to proceed?
EXAMPLE
Instead of 2018 Aug period, business user opened 2010 Aug and 'Closed' it.
Now, when we tried to open the 2018 Aug, we receive the following error :
ERROR (INV_PREV_PD_NOT_OPEN_10G)
Cannot open period. previous cost period is not opened yet
STEPS
1. Navigate to Inventory > Accounting Close Cycle > Inventory accounting periods
2. Attempt to Open 2018 Aug period
3. See error
