Discuss solutions for the E-Business Suite Workflow Mailer frequently failing to connect to the IMAP server due to the following errors:

'UNEXPECTED:[SVC-GSM-WFMLRSVC-5226862-10009 :
oracle.apps.fnd.wf.mailer.IMAPResponseHandler.open()]:Unable to connect to mail store at attempt #x'

The mailer log also shows the following while processing notifications:

Unable to move message

javax.mail.MessagingException: connection failure;
nested exception is:
com.sun.mail.iap.ProtocolException: connection failure
